Inner Light ‎(12", San). But this a phenomenal track that perflectly blends techno, trance, new beat, and maybe even house or breakbeat.

Proto Goa Trance from 1991. Love the Goa sounds from this year.

I hear inspirations from the groundbreaking classics that are DHS - House of God and Joey Beltram - Energy Flash. But this a phenomenal track that perflectly blends techno, trance, new beat, and maybe even house or breakbeat. And it gets you very far since the very opening until the very last slowdown.

Big driving techno tune from 1991.Deep, dark, driving, pulsating, hypnotizing and totally amazing track, topped off with a vocal that helps take you on a journey, Huge tune back in its day & quite unique - really worth checking this track out, one of my all time favorite tunes.

Another year goes by, and still a perfect all time favorite song. Unique in it's sound. Not new beat, not acid, not trance, but a perfect mixture.

Perfect, perfect, perfect... I loved every bit in this techno/trance release. the vocals are amazing and quite rare for a techno record. It is similar to Abfahrt - Come Into My Life another incredible record in terms of powerful vocals. this is the king of dark, eerie techno and a must for any EDM fan period, especially if you love oldskool techno & or trance.

this track is not from this world. not surprising, as it was made with loads of enthusiasm, engagement, spontaneity, creativity, passion and love at the time the techno/dance sound spreaded all over europe and was fresh. Well, how to describe it; it's magic, mesmerizing, deep and timeless - what fingers inc's blueprint "can you feel it" was for the house scene, phantasia is for the tech/trance scene; although i wouldn't wanna classify it as pure techno or trance, it simply was genre defining in europe, like lfo, age of love, lhasa.. at that time, and goes as deep as it can be. i was 12 when it came out, it still gives me chills and nostalgic and melancholic memories going through my head about the strange and exciting feeling when it all was new and dramatic, thrilling, fascinating. And the great thing is: you can still and forever hear it all through the old music. The more soulless and lethargic crap they release today, the more i rely on the past, too many amazing records were released from 1975-1992, enough for not wasting a second on nowadays sterile cheap garbage pressed on wax; a real priceless record i would never want to miss!

Youngster (16), listening to Fun House Radio, in Rotterdam the Netherland. Falling in love with house music and listens every night. One record clearly stands out and he decides to buy the holy Technics SL 1200's. Next, jumps on the bike and goed to the records store. He buys "Phantasia - Inner Light". Classic, dreamy, spacy, techy etc. One of the greatest moments in house music and CLASSIC. From Belgium with love. This one is for my funeral.

When rave culture began to spread from the U.K. into Europe, there was a small scene developing within Belgium called New Beat. The producers of New Beat all had embraced rave culture with full impact, as if they new something big was about to happen. In the mist of all this came The Lords Of Acid and Praga Khan who started this underground group called Phantasia. With Lords Of Acid singer Nikki, they wrote this track "Inner Light" which in its original version was an absolute perfect soundtrack for the 1990 E'd up generation. It was based on "Sleeper In Metropolis" by Anne Clarke, but with new lyrics, sounding as if it was written under the influence of an ecstasy trip. This track would become a favorite on the East Coast and remembered as one of the top 10 tracks in the scene during the early 90's. "Violet Skies" was the follow-up and also remains a favorite. The only problem with the actual song came when it was remixed. Sometimes it is better to leave things alone. This was one of those moments.

I first heard this song on your mixed tape 68 the one you dubbed "Intelligent Techno". This track is one of my all time favorites and marked the beginning of the deeper, darker and more "intelligent" sound that became a main stay for those early morning and afterhour sets. A lot of tracks of this particular style still hold up strong and this one is no exception. Play this for a younger crowd who have never heard it before and I bet they would think it was hot of the press. An absolute classic for me.
