The Pointer Sisters "ENERGY" was released in 1978 and was a major breakthrough for the group. Sister Bonnie has recently departed for a solo career and the group signed on to Planet label and picked uber hot producer hit maker Richard Perry to produce their first effort for Planet. The original album artwork is intact here, front and back and the liner notes by the always excellent Christian John Wilkane are informative and highly interesting. There are brand new interviews here with Ruth and Anita Pointer. And the sound is amazing as always.
