The discography of the British rock band The Sisters of Mercy consists of three studio albums, two compilation albums, two extended plays (EPs), and sixteen singles. The Sisters of Mercy were formed in Leeds in 1977 by Andrew Eldritch (vocals, drums) and Gary Marx (guitar) and they released their debut single, "The Damage Done" in the same year on their own independent record label, Merciful Release

The Damage Done Lyrics. Somebody tell me about the rhythm of the 4th floor Somebody tell me about the rhythm of the dance floor Somebody tell me about the perfect bomb The royal valley on a blitzkrieg bomb Somebody tell me how to use my gun tools Kiss the napalm in the afternoon. I saw the film, I saw the place I live to work for the killing sake When I think you're knocked, when the radio died And the rhythm played from every side. See the rebel and the damage done See the debris and the damage done See the wreckage and the damage done See the film, see the damage done. The Sisters debut single was a three track 7 inch-only affair. The guitars were recorded through a three watt practice amp, and the bass part was played on the same six string as the lead. Eldritch – famously the worst drummer in town – played drums.
